What Makes You Free! Art Day is a family-friendly Juneteenth celebration hosted by The Ballard House Project in Birmingham’s Civil Rights District. Taking place June 17–18, 2026, the event will feature history and literacy-based programming, interactive cultural and art activities, and live performances that honor emancipation, freedom, and community engagement.
Families, children, and community members are invited to explore the historic Ballard House and participate in meaningful experiences that inspire learning, creativity, and celebration.
